Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Fancy (a birth name) fell in love with Lindy and Shag in 2008, with Balboa trailing not far behind. She’s been hooked ever since, constantly endeavouring to improve her technique on a never-ending quest for connection, improvisational freedom in social dancing and the true jitterbug spirit.
She has performed, competed and taught all over the world, was nominated for the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame in 2014 and is a five-time winner of the National Jitterbug Championships in the shag division. She loves to dance with new people and beginners, so be sure to ask her to dance!
Jeremy Otth amassed a great amount of knowledge on the historic essence of vintage swing dances from many of the original jitterbugs and swing dancers. His expertise if focused on the Lindy, Collegiate Shag, Balboa and Solo Jazz.
Along with his seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy, Jeremy’s natural talent and dedication led him to accumulate championship titles at many acclaimed dance competitions such as the International Lindy Hop Championships, National Jitterbug Championships, American Classic Balboa Championships, and the US Open Swing Dance Championships. He's been twice inducteed into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame. Jeremy is honored to share the breadth of knowledge and passion for these classic partner dances by entertaining and educating feet around the world from Southern California to Asia and Europe.
Larissa and Heiko have been dancing and teaching together for more than a decade. They love to spread the joy of swing dancing in their local dance school Basel Jitterbugs and all around Europe.
Both dance various swing dance styles and mix them based on the tempo and energy of the music. In class they share their immense passion for swing dancing to help you grow as a swing dancer and develop your own voice on the dance floor. You might have seen them in the teachers' line up of many festivals like Rock that Swing, the Barcelona Shag Festival or Swing Paradise. They are also the hosts of their own Festival 'Jitterbugs Delight' in Basel
Based in Gloucestershire, UK, Jim & Nicky have been on the national/International swing dance circuit for more years than they care to remember. They have taught, performed, judged and choreographed at National & International Shag dance camps and are experienced at teaching at all levels, teaching and promoting Collegiate Shag, they also teach Lindy Hop, Soul Lindy and Charleston Fitness.
They are known for their fun and relaxed style of teaching with classes being clear and concise with their love of musicality shining through. When they are not teaching at dance camps they teach regular weekly classes in Gloucestershire and draw students from all parts of the country which has created a blooming scene in the UK. They are also the co-founders of the Swing Fastival Dance camp.
